Diary dates and potato fair
The shop will be open this week and next, then we will take a break over Christmas and the New Year, re-opening on the 6th of Jan.
You’ll be wanting to be getting back to the allotment after all that indoor activitiy and in the nick of time the ODFAA seed potato day will also be on the 6th of Jan, 10.30 til 1.30 at West Oxford Community Centre with 60 varieties of potato and other fancy stuff for sale.
Work Party Weekend
Thanks to everyone who helped on Saturday and Sunday to clear, clip and cut our way through undergrowth and rubbish!
The site is looking much improved and as a result of all the hard work, we have created a new access path to the social area on the middle road, cleared the car parks, and, cleared pathways.
Thanks also to the cake-makers who made this an enjoyable social event.
If you didn’t make it to a work party this year, do come along next time; it really is an enjoyable and rewarding way to spend a morning, and, you’ll get to know some fellow allotment members.
Compost delivery
We have had a delivery of compost from the Oxford City Parks Department, with piles located at the top of each road. It’s £1.00 per barrowload. Please pay at the shop on Sunday, or put in an envelope with plot number on it, in the letterbox or under the door of the shop.
