As the rains have come at last bonfires are now permitted. Please take time to familiarise yourself with the rules and etiquette. No bonfires before 6pm or dusk if earlier No bonfires on Sundays or public holidays Only DRY material

Please COMPOST as much as possible — it’s better for our health and for the environment. The Redbridge re-cycling centre is open 7 days a week. If you’re convinced that a bonfire is the only solution, check the EWAA rules
Bonfire guidance
EWAA members are again permitted to burn allotment waste on their plots, so the usual rules apply. Note in particular: No bonfires before 6pm, or before dusk when that is earlier than 6pm No bonfires on Sundays or Public Holidays

The City Council has recently updated its guidelines regarding bonfires on allotment sites. The advice against having bonfires has now been withdrawn, so our published rules are back in place. These are available on the EWAA website (https://ewaa.org.uk/rules-and-info/). In summary:
