Welcome to the East Ward Allotment Association. EWAA is a membership association for plotholders of the East Ward allotments. We are a voluntary-run organisation. The site is leased from Oxford City Council.

Please note in particular some key rules:

Footpaths
Each plot shall have a footpath along one side of the 24 inches (60cm) in width for the use of adjacent plotholders only. It shall be maintained by members who use it.

Bonfires

  • No bonfires before 6pm or dusk if earlier
  • No bonfires on Sundays or public holidays
  • Only dry material to be burnt along with dried diseased plant material
  • No bringing rubbish onto the site for burning

Please be considerate when burning, neighbours are greatly affected by smoke.

Vehicle Access
Motor vehicles must not be parked on roadways except for loading or unloading.

Water Tanks
Water tanks shall be left full after use and shall not be used for cleaning of produce, boots, or tools.

Powered Machinery
The use of all powered equipment on members’ plots shall be restricted to the hours of 9am-8pm (or dusk, whichever is the earlier) seven days a week.

    I see it says no rubbish to be brought into sight to be burned! Does that include personal garden waste eg. Old trees, cuttings etc?

      Yes! You can bring things on site to compost, but not to burn please.
