Diary dates and potato fair

The shop will be open this week and next, then we will take a break over Christmas and the New Year, re-opening on the 6th of Jan.

You’ll be wanting to be getting back to the allotment after all that indoor activitiy and in the nick of time the ODFAA seed potato day  will also be on the 6th of Jan, 10.30 til 1.30 at West Oxford Community Centre with 60 varieties of potato and other fancy stuff for sale.

Compost delivery

We have had a delivery of compost from the Oxford City Parks Department, with piles located at the top of each road. It’s £1.00 per barrowload. Please pay at the shop on Sunday, or put in an envelope with plot number on it, in the letterbox or under the door of the shop.

Final Rent Day Reminder!

Thanks to all those who came along on the 7th and paid their rent. Can everyone else please come down this Sunday and settle their account too. We ask everyone to come to the shop at these times so that the committee, who are all volunteers and give up our own time run the site, can get everything done in a reasonable amount of time. If you don’t pay your rent at these sessions, it means we have to spend time figuring out who you all are, contacting you, and processing and recording the payments later on. This can add up to a significant amount of time!

We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

Many thanks,

EWAA Committee.

Rent due 7th or 14th October

We will be taking rent payments in the shop the next two Sundays, 7th and 14th October, between 11 and 1. The annual rent was increased at the AGM last week to account for increasing costs. Full rent for a 10 pole plot is now £25. Full rent for a half plot (5 poles) is £12.50.

Concessions are available for the unwaged for the first plot only: £15 for a full plot, £7.50 for a half.

Please come in and pay your rent at one of these times, we look forward to seeing you!

Reminder: Rent days and AGM

The East Ward Allotment Association AGM will be held on the 30th September from 10-11 in the shop. We will be voting on a rent increase from £21 to £25 per year (full rates, concessions will still be available), to cover rising costs. The chair will also report on the years activities and future plan, and we will confirm committee members and officers for the 2018-2019 season.

Rent Days will follow – please come to the allotment shop on either 7th or 14th October between 11 and 1 to pay your rent in person.
